Carolyn Apostolou, 47

Carolyn Apostolou began her career teaching psychology, drawn to understanding behaviour, motivation, and what helps people perform at their best. When her first daughter was born and she asked for a little more time at home before returning to the classroom, she was told no. That closed door redirected her path entirely. Over the years that followed, she watched the same pattern play out everywhere around her, overwhelm at the school gates, depletion in homes where work had quietly taken over, and began building something in response. Today she works with organisations and leaders to redesign how work actually operates, not wellness perks, but structural change. In 2025 she was recognised internationally with the Stevie Award for Mentor and Coach of the Year.

Her message to other women: coping is not the same as thriving. Just because you can carry a heavy load does not mean you should.
