Christine has lived several lives within one, from sailing to the UK instead of pursuing a fashion apprenticeship, to building a career across recruitment, real estate, and teaching, to weathering two cyclones back to back on Hamilton Island before heading south to Melbourne, where she found dragon boating and went on to compete at two national championships. In 2022 she was diagnosed with cancer, and after reaching remission has continued managing ongoing treatment with candour. In December 2023 she lost her mother, two months after welcoming a grandson into the world.

Her message to other women: don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, it's surprising what you can find.
