Jodie is the founder of Cancer Support Angels, a volunteer-driven network that sits with patients through chemo, not as professionals, but as a presence, and the founder of Purposeful Partnerships, a consultancy helping charities and not-for-profits navigate growth. She started volunteering at twelve, and has spent the decades since showing up for others, through two violent marriages, an emotionally abusive relationship, and a 2013 cancer diagnosis she treated as information rather than tragedy.

Her message to other women: when you are struggling, take a break and give yourself time to regroup, because no one will remember you working eighty hours a week, they will remember how you made them feel.
