Michelle Benson, 64
Michelle Benson spent more than two decades working as a financial controller, good at her work and quietly carrying the feeling of being a fish out of water. At fifty-nine, a serious illness stopped her completely. In the stillness that followed, questions she had long set aside became impossible to ignore. Her husband brought her clay. She had never worked with porcelain before, and she has not looked back since. Today she is a multidisciplinary artist whose ceramic work explores human frailty in women, forms that appear broken but hold extraordinary strength.
Her message to other women: if your soul is singing to you to make differences in your life, make a plan and do it.
