Wise Woman - Catriona Sims

The last time I was photographed, I was 33 weeks pregnant and then with my daughter when she was 12 days old. She is now 13.

It’s time to capture me in this new chapter of my life, my early 50s. I am hardworking and I am exactly where I should be in my career. In a leadership role where we are making a difference in other people’s lives.

I am the very proud mother of my 13-year-old daughter, whom I have raised on my own for many years with no support. I have led a fabulous, but sometimes very tough and challenging life full of opportunities and experiences.

I wanted my shoot to capture this and that I am a competent street smart and confident woman with a wide circle of dear friends and an even broader set of colleagues and acquaintances who started again many times successfully after moving countries and states and after relationship breakdowns. I cannot be bothered with bull shit anymore. And I proudly raise my daughter to be kind, respectful and very clear in her purpose.
